Pine Branch

This series is inspired by the complex and diverse textures of tree bark.  Each tree is a unique microcosm of life.  For this piece I placed grey felt over black satin with added moss texture. The pine needles are stitches of silk ribbon. I make each wood frame to fit the canvas. 16” x 20”
